Live Traffic

Live Traffic shows how many requests reach your Beeceptor endpoint each second. You can follow traffic during a load test, investigate an unexpected burst, or count requests over a specific period.

info

Live Traffic is available on the Scale plan and above.

View incoming traffic

You can access Live Traffic from the Account Menu. Open Your Endpoints, click the bar chart icon for an endpoint to open its Stats page, then select the Live traffic tab.

The chart opens with the last 15 minutes of traffic and updates every second while the view is active. You can choose 5m, 15m, 1h, 6h, or 24h to see a shorter or longer window. Timestamps use your browser's local timezone. The page also shows current requests per second and updates it live.

Count requests in a selected period

When you want to examine part of the traffic, click and drag across the chart. This zooms into the period and pauses live updates, giving you time to review it. The Selected time range summary shows:

  • Total requests received during the period.
  • Average RPS, calculated as total requests divided by the duration in seconds.
  • Peak RPS, the highest request count in a single second.
  • Start, End, and Duration of the selected period.

You can view this observability data for up to the last 24 hours.

Use traffic metrics in your tests

During performance testing, you can send load-test traffic to your mock endpoint and watch the ramp-up. Once the run finishes, select its time window to compare the received request count and average RPS with your load generator's results.

The chart helps you spot observability metrics like spikes, quiet periods, and repeated bursts. You can then open request history to examine individual requests around the same time. You can also use the selection for request counting. Choose the period covering a batch job, webhook delivery window, or test run to see how many requests reached the endpoint without counting log entries manually.

For a longer-term view, switch to the Historical usage tab on the same page to see daily and monthly request totals.
