Data Retention Policy for Beeceptor

At Beeceptor, we prioritize safeguarding the data of our users and customers while maintaining transparency in our data handling practices. This Data Retention Policy outlines our procedures for retaining and deleting data, emphasizing the importance of protecting privacy and supporting our operational needs. The purpose of retaining data includes ensuring the stability of our services, providing ongoing customer support, and complying with legal obligations.

Beeceptor is a SaaS platform that retains all user and customer data unless a deletion is requested. We take diligent measures to ensure that all data, upon deletion, is hard deleted and anonymized to protect privacy and comply with global data protection regulations.

Data Retention Specifics

HTTP/Mock Requests Sent to Beeceptor Endpoints

  • Retention Period: All requests sent to Beeceptor endpoints are retained for a period of 15 days. After this duration, the data is automatically purged from our systems.
  • Long-Term Storage: We do not retain any of the mock server requests beyond the initial 15-day period. This ensures that our users' data does not remain on our servers indefinitely.

Endpoint Configuration

  • Retention of Configuration Data: Configuration data for Beeceptor endpoints, including mock server configurations and mock definitions, is retained indefinitely, until a deletion request is made by the user.
  • Free Plan Endpoints: For endpoints operating under the free plan, mock server configurations and mock definitions are automatically cleaned up after 90 days of non-usage.
  • Paid Plan Endpoints: For endpoints under the paid plan, configurations are retained until the user requests their deletion.

User Data

  • Account Deletion: Users may delete their accounts on a self-service basis, which will trigger the deletion of all associated data in accordance with our standard deletion procedures.

Backups

  • Backup Policy: Data is included as part of periodic backups to prevent data loss in the case of a system failure.
  • Backup Retention: Backups are retained for a period of 90 days. Following this period, all backups are carefully reviewed and cleansed of deleted data, ensuring that any data purged from our active systems is also removed from backups.

Data Deletion

  • Request for Deletion: Users and customers can request the deletion of their data at any time. Upon receiving a deletion request, Beeceptor will hard delete and/or anonymize the respective data from all active databases. Data present in any existing backups will be removed after the backup retention period as described above.
  • Process of Deletion: Once a request for data deletion is verified, Beeceptor will initiate the deletion process, which includes removing the data from active systems and ensuring it is not present in the next cycle of backups.

Legal Compliance & Jurisdiction

  • Beeceptor operates under the jurisdiction of India, and adheres to the relevant data protection laws applicable within our operational regions. Our compliance with these regulations ensures that we handle data responsibly and with respect to user privacy.

Changes to the Policy

  • Beeceptor reserves the right to update or modify this Data Retention Policy at any time. Significant changes to the policy will be communicated to our users through our website or via direct communication. We encourage our users to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting their data.
