At Beeceptor (accessible from https://beeceptor.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users and customers. Following is our discloser of information that is collected or recorded by Beeceptor and how we use it.

Personal Information

We collect personal information (name, company, company, e-mail address, address, billing details, etc.) from you for various purposes which help us serve you better. Some of the purposes are listed below:

  • Login: When you create an account or sign-in to Beeceptor, we ask you and store your basic information like your full name, email address, password, company, profile picture, social-account id (i.e. Github, Google), etc for the purpose of identification and deliver personalized services.
  • Subscription: When you use Beeceptor, we may ask you to provide your name, billing & mailing addresses, email address and credit-card or other payment information for the purposes of fulfilling your subscription, sending you invoices, and contacting you about the expiry of your subscription. This information will be shared with our payment partners.
  • We collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all visitors to Beeceptor and other related information such as page requests, browser type, operating system, time spent on Beeceptor, referring/exit-pages, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. We use this information to audit, monitor and further improve our services.
  • When you send a request to the mock-server, Beeceptor saves the HTTP parameters, including headers, payload, method, and IP addresses. Please note that the requests to the mock-server is retained for a period of 15 days. After this duration, the data is automatically purged from Beeceptor's system.
  • Account Deletion: You can reach us via support/contact-page for account deletion. To protect information from accidental or malicious destruction, we may maintain residual copies for a brief time period. But, if you delete your account, your information and content will be unrecoverable after that time.
  • Passwords: We strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication.
  • You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.

Audit Logs, Sending Data to Beeceptor & Routing

  • Log Files: Beeceptor follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
  • When you send a request to proxy, endpoint's sub-domain or mock-server, Beeceptor logs information about the HTTP/HTTPs request to audit/monitor/track usage of the mock-server or endpoint. This information includes HTTP Method, Request Path, Host, Headers, IP address, content size, content type, payload or body, etc. This information is logged in server logs (in plain text) and databases to help us rate limit requests. It is advised that you do not send your production keys/secrets to Beeceptor.
  • The free endpoints (mock-servers) are public, and anyone having link (URL) to it can intercept and view requests. We cannot guarantee protection of your information (PII, production keys, secrets, etc.) under free plans. It is advised that you upgrade the endpoint to a private endpoint and benefit from other exclusive features.

Cookies

Like any other website, Beeceptor uses "cookies". These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

  • Beeceptor needs to perform a contract with you to offer services (i.e. your usage of the service and upgrades to paid plans)
  • You have given Beeceptor permission to do so, or you have submitted information with your consent
  • Processing your personal information is in Beeceptor legitimate interests
  • Beeceptor needs to comply with the law

Beeceptor will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Refer to the Data Retention Policy for more details. We don't make money from ads. So we don’t collect data in order to advertise to you. Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Beeceptor, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that Beeceptor has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
